Third Chemo Treatment

Posted by: | April 12, 2013 | 3 Comments |

Buffy had her 3rd chemo treatment today and it was also time for chest x-rays. On the positive side – she co-operated with them and they didn’t need to sedate her to do the x-rays. Yeah, no groggy sick girl. On the negative – they found a spot on her lung. It was always going to be a very long shot that none of the evil little cells hitched a ride in her system.

We’re seeing the chemo through though in the hope it will buy her some comfort time and hey, maybe a miracle. There’s always a rainbow after a storm right? She is a feisty girl. I wasn’t allowed to stay with her today because of the x-rays and got back to pick her up just before they had finished her treatment and took the pic through the door. She was such a good girl for them.

As others chime in, you will see that there have been plenty of dogs/cats who have had fairly good success with various treatments when lung mets were found……Jerry being one of them!! There are also those who still had really good extended quality time regardless. You just never know with this crazy crap!!

She’s doing great now:-) πŸ™‚ doesn’t know she’s sick:-) πŸ™‚ hasa great positive loving set of pawparents:-) and all that is the best medicine a dog can have:-) πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Please don’t get too down on the fact that they discovered a spot on Buffy’s lung.

Our tripawd Hunter has 1, maybe 2, spots on his lungs and there were discovered on December 5th. He is still going strong and doing very well.

Someone once said… “Dogs don’t come with expiration dates!” Keep this in mind, and allow Buffy to thrive in your positive thinking.

She is loved, doing well, and has no clue that the “C word” is in her system.

    You are doing great!

We are definitely staying positive and with her attitude and behavior there’s no room for negativity.

She’s always ready for her morning walk, has a good appetite, wants’ to be included in everything and stays busy keeping the pup in line.

    She’s my inspiration.
