Buffy had a suspect lump x-rayed and a biopsy taken on the 10th of January. The x-ray showed bone degeneration of the back right ankle and I was told there could only be two possibilities for it. Either a bacterial infection (which becomes possible when a puncture injury occurs) or bone cancer.
Buffy was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (although the pathology report was not 100% conclusive) on the 15th January 2013.
No two journeys are ever the same but there will always be similarities no matter where you are in the world. We live in Adelaide, South Australia.
I want to share Buffy’s unique journey through this maze of trials and triumphs which may be of help to others going through similar circumstances.

Welcome Buffy & family! I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but I’m so happy you found your way here. There are a lot of members here with lots of experience, and can answer any questions you may have. If you haven’t already, be sure to stop by the forums and introduce yourself there too! Oh no, not the first Aussie at all! Come to the Forums, you’ll find Spirit Magnum’s people and quite a few others who pop in and out occasionally and are in your beautiful land. Put a shout out in “Tripawd Pawties,” hopefully you can have a get-together with some!
